Outcome, not an outcome

I was really inspired by the data poetry activity that Lindsay introduced in Workshop 3. I hadn’t ever thought of presenting a narrative like that using data. See below my response in the workshop task.

I plan to continue working on this project and would like to articulate some of the analysis I undertook with the students as a sort of collective mission statement/mini-manifesto about community. I’ve made a small prototype using some basic code in p5.js (a library of JavaScript).

How did I do this?
First, I sorted the last bit of the Miro Activity into an Excel file (see below)

Sorting the data into an excel file

I then chose a simple format of three sentences around definitions, values and commitments. I’ve randomised the code to select from this matrix and create a constantly changing mission statement. I could see this as the start to a kind of mini-manifesto of some kind and I would like to continue working on this moving forward.

See Prototype Below:

Prototype of Mission Statement/Mini-Manifesto

Note* Once again, I would like to acknowledge my use of OpenAI as a coding assistant. I am still learning the ways of p5.js. Here is a link to the live browser version of the code:
